Abstract

This research project focuses on the Aristotelian theory of musics and intends to develop this topic according to two directions: (a) an interpretation of the musical theory in Aristotle, firstly as an aesthetic phenomenon, but then also as what regards its role in the constitution of the moral character of individuals and its significance from a political point of view as well; (b) its importance to the musical theory as it was produced in Antiquity.
