Abstract

Neutrino physics has achieved a rapid progress after the confirmation of neutrino oscillations in various experiments which indicate that the neutrinos possess tiny masses and mix with large mixing angles. The successive accumulation of such evidences (i) impels the search for models that explain such properties and (ii) motivates the search for deviations from the actual description and for subdominant effects. In the context (i), we will study the implementation of the seesaw mechanism in models such as the N-Higgs doublet model and the transference of CP violation sources from the scalar sector to the lepton and quark mixing matrices. In the context (ii), we will study the oscillation formulas using the formalism of Weyl spinors, including heavy Majorana neutrinos and localization aspects. In the next step, we will include in the description the interactions that creates and detects the neutrinos, i.e., the neutral and chareged current weak interactions and possible new interactions. For the detailed study of the creation process, the Wigner-Weisskopf approximation, including localization aspects, will be used. (AU)
