Using the assemblage from Capelinha I site, a “fluvial sambaqui” located within the region of the Jacupiranguinha river basin (Ribeira de Iguape Valley, SP), this project aims/intends to identify the various strategies of artifact manufacture from bone, teeth and shell materials. We wish to identify and define techno-typological patterns associated with this site. During the analysis, in order to obtain the data, different variables such as raw material, shape, dimensions, morphology will be used and correlated.
