Abstract

The man started to have contact with the soil since its first habitations. When starting to build on the land, it found many difficulties with the foundations, especially in the greats construction built in the past. The bad behavior verified in some foundations lead the use of reinforcement and repairing, until the present does not have one defined technique and not a specific norm technique that guides and supplies the procedures and lines for its execution. Nowadays, there are some elements that are used for foundation reinforcement, however, is the responsibility of the technician engineer to find an adequate solution and the most recommendable type to satisfy the functional variable, economic and constructive viability. One of the options of foundation reinforcement, wide used in the São Paulo State, for construction of small and medium size, is the concrete pile, encrust, popularly known as Mega pile. In this project, intend to follow the foundation reinforcement of construction affect for pathologies and make load tests of fast type in 02 Mega piles with 0.20m of diameter and 6.0m of length. To verify the collapse effect in the behavior of the piles, the tests will be lead with the natural soil and after soaking the soil. After that, the collected results will allow the trace of the curve load x displacement and the determination of the load capacity for consecrated methods of Soil Mechanics. The analyses to be effected will indicate which effects in the collapse and depth in this load capacity. The conclusions of the research will be able to serve of base for the reinforcement foundation sizing and as subsidies for elaboration of a norm technique for foundation reinforcement. (AU)
