The demands of present market added to advancements of technologies of information and communication (TIC's), lead the organizations it will put in office and it will seek competitive advantages in diverse fronts, between them the intellectual capital. The information it be basic condition of survival of individuals in the organizations and the knowledge is the big differential and main support to the decision-making. The persons are considered important assets, therefore generate own knowledge that upon properly to be systematized, managed and socialized in the scope of the organization results in more competence and organizational competitiveness, that practice names-itself knowledge management (KM). This researches is part of a bigger project than investigates the organizational competitive intelligence process (ICO) and, has as one of his objectives, elaborate different instruments of evaluation of the process, being an of them come back to the knowledge management. The diagnosis will be carried out in private organizations of the region of Marília city. It intends to obtain itself a diagnosis about the knowledge management in those organizations and the impact about the organizational competitiveness. (AU)
