Abstract

The objective of this project is the evaluation of the use of ash of peel of rice as "addition" in the production of the self-compacting concrete, together with the cement Portland. This should influence in the properties of the concrete in the fresh state, and in the properties of the concrete hardened by the puzzolanic effect. Tends in view that she will accomplish the paper of 'fine' and of paste former, contributing to the reologicals properties of the self-compacting concrete, compositions should be adopted for the fresh concrete that they assist to the requirements of acting of the concrete for this state, in matter the fluidity, the homogeneity, the blessing absence, and the segregation absence. They are also foreseen the tests for the evaluation of the mechanical resistance, in way to validate the studied compositions and also of verifying the puzzolanic effect of the ashes of peels of rice, which shows preferentially in the ages more advanced of cure.
