Abstract

The proposed scientific exchange intends to investigate the delayed luminescence and spontaneous emission of light in wheat seeds before and during germination, with further analysis of the seedling's growth and development. The proposed plan, to be executed by the Brazilian researcher and supported by the German group, is constituted of 3-week period of day-by-day measurements and two half-weeks for preparation and discussions. Two different samples will be studied in similar conditions of germination and photon-counting detection, simultaneously, each 24-hours, starting after germinating for one day. The work and related discussions can help in future experiments in agriculture applications both for the Brazilian and German groups. (AU)
