Abstract

Assuming emotions as a social construct with a great impact on the social construction of markets, we analyzed the beliefs expressed in the narratives of the corporate universe about emotions through Exame Magazine in the time frame from 1990 to 2007. Inspired by the Reflexive Sociology of Pierre Bourdieu and Economic Sociology, our general objective is to objectify the extent to which Exame magazine incorporated the theme of emotions in its editions from 1990 to 2007. widely studied by Maria Jardim (2013) and Roberto Grun (2010), it promoted changes in the corporate governance of companies and in their management structures. In this sense, the authors demonstrate how the 2008 crisis promoted new actors and discourses within the business world, with a reorganization of capitalism (AU)
