Concerning projects carried out in research institutions abroad, FAPESP encourages granted researchers to develop collaborative research with renowned partner organizations from other countries, such as the institution abroad .

The project deals with paleocontinental reconstructions between cratonic fragmentes (e.g., São Francisco and Rio de la Plata cratons, North China craton). The strategy approach for this goal is based on field workshops with in key geologic areas in the Precambrian shield of South America and China toward the geologic correlations in time and space.
