Francis Trombini-Souza has Master's and Doctoral degree by the School of Medicine of the University of São Paulo USP. Trombini-Souza is a Professor in the Physical Therapy Department at the University of Pernambuco - UPE Campus Petrolina. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in the Biomechanics Laboratory of Movement and Human posture of the School of Medicine, University of São Paulo USP. He received his Physical Therapy degree from University José do Rosário Vellano - UNIFENAS. He is a member of the Brazilian Association of Physiotherapy in Gerontology (ABRAFIGE) and a researcher of the Remobilize Network. Trombini-Souza has experience in clinical research and biomechanics of musculoskeletal dysfunctions and human functional movement with an emphasis on locomotion, posture, balance, and cognition of older adults. Currently, he has been developing research on the use of non-linear methods applied to physiological complexity analysis of balance and gait of older adults, as well as functional diagnosis and individualizable interventions based on Artificial Intelligence to fall prevention and rehabilitation of older people. Prof. Francis is the coordinator of the Research Group on Human Aging and the Laboratory of Biomechanics and Human Functional Activity. He is the current vice-coordinator of the Master?s and Doctoral Program in Rehabilitation and Functional Performance of UPE Campus Petrolina..
