Prof. Aoki graduated from the University of Sao Paulo School of Medicine (FMUSP) in 1987. She completed her residency training in Dermatology in 1990 at FMUSP, and was the chief resident from 1990 to 1991. As a Dermatology Foundation scholarship recipient, she performed her post-doctoral fellowship in Immunodermatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI, USA (1992-1994). She obtained her Master Degree in 1997 and PhD in 1999 in Dermatology at FMUSP. Associate Tenured Professor of Dermatology since 2012 . Present: position: Associate Tenured Professor, Department of Dermatology,University of São Paulo School of Medicine, Member of the Committee of the Graduate Program in Dermatology at FMUSP. Board of Directors- International Eczema Council. Regional Advisor - Association of Academic Health Centers (AAHC)- Latin America and Caribbean regional office. Visiting Professor: University of Miami (February 2023); University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill, NC, USA (2012-2013) and University of Ljubljana, Slovenia (2020). Research lines: autoimmune blistering diseases (fogo selvagem, pemphigus, bullous pemphigoid, epidermolysis bullosa acquisita) and inflammatory dermatoses (atopic dermatitis and lichen planus).
