Graduate in "Chimica Pura" from the "Universita Degli Studi Di Pavia", Italy (1969), Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the "Universidade Federal de São Paulo", Brazil (1984) and Post-doctoral Fellowship in Biochemistry at the Universituy of Iowa, USA (1971-74) and in Molecular Biology at the Univerity of Pavia, Italy (1988-89). He is actiually Research Coordinator of the Biotechnology Center of the IPEN-CNEN/SP. and post-graduation supervisor of the Univerity of São Paulo and of the Federal University of São Paulo. He has experience in Biochemistry, focusing on Molecular Biology, acting on the following subjects: human growth hormone, thyrotropin, follicle-stimulating hormone, luteotropin, recombinant protein production in escherichia coli, prolactin, cho cells, gene therapy, pharmaceutical quality control, protein purification, cloning and phylogenetic analysis of fish gonadotropins.
