Full Professor at the Institute of Biosciences of Botucatu, São Paulo State University (UNESP). He holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Federal University of Alagoas (2000), a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Universitty of São Paulo (2005), and a Habilitation (Livre-Docência) in Analytical Chemistry from São Paulo State University (UNESP). His research focuses on the development of biosensors, fabrication and characterization of novel nanomaterials, and the development of microfluidic systems for the detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs).He completed postdoctoral training at the Institute of Chemistry at the University of São Paulo (20052006), the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University (2007), Auburn University (20082010), the University of Florida (20182019), and the University of California, San Diego (20242025). Served as coordinator of the Graduate Program in Biotechnology at UNESP during two terms (20152017 and 20222024). Since 2025, has been serving as an advisor to the Office of the Vice-President for Graduate Studies (Pró-Reitoria de Pós-Graduação) at UNESP. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
