Artist, researcher, and professor specializing in interactive media in public spaces. Currently, she is a faculty member in the Computer Science in Media Art program at Woodbury Universitys School of Architecture in Los Angeles, USA. Her doctoral dissertation is a transdisciplinary project that combines theories, practices, and methods from various disciplines to develop an original framework for analyzing interactive experiences in public spaces. She earned her PhD in Art, Technology, and Emerging Communication in 2022, under the supervision of Dr. Anne Balsamo, at the School of Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication at the University of Texas at Dallas. She holds a degree in Image and Sound from the Federal University of São Carlos (2012) and received a scientific initiation scholarship from FAPESP in 2011/2012. She completed her Masters in Arts at The New School University, New York (2016), with a CAPES scholarship through the Science Without Borders Program.Her primary research interests include interactive media in public spaces, interactive art, and art as a social practice. Her dissertation examines how contemporary cultural institutions use emerging technologies to engage audiences as agents of transformation. In her artistic practice, she seeks to work with poetic and critical themes, utilizing emerging technologies and innovative forms of interaction to invite participants to contemplate pasts, futures, and their possible roles as agents of social change.
