Graduated in Computer Science at Federal University of Ceará (1997); Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Technological Institute of Aeronautics (2000); Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Campinas (2005); Associate Professor in Informatics at the University of Campinas (2019); and Post-Doc in Distributed Systems at Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 (LIP6), Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) (2014). He was a user support analyst at the National Center for High-Performance Computing at São Paulo, Brazil, and head of the Computer Science, Computer Engineering undergraduate courses at University São Francisco; and on undergraduate courses of Information Systems and Technology on System Analysis and Development at the University of Campinas. Currently, he is a professor at the School of Technology at University of Campinas. He was ad-hoc consulting of Education Ministry from 2005 to 2019 and State Council of Education from 2010 to 2019. In 2017 he was elevated to the grade of Senior Member at IEEE and in 2008 he was selected to participate in the Distinguished Visitors Program at the IEEE Computer Society. He has experience in Computer Science, with emphasis on High Performance Computing, working on the following topics: high performance computing and distributed systems.
