Holds a Masters degree in Experimental and Comparative Pathology with a focus on pathogens in neotropical primates (2018). Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science at the University of São Paulo FMVZ/USP (2012).Worked as a Veterinarian in the project for the removal and translocation of the invasive golden-headed lion tamarin (Leontopithecus chrysomelas) in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, coordinated by Instituto Pri-Matas for Biodiversity Conservation.Her areas of expertise include conservation medicine, One Health, management and clinical care of neotropical, invasive, and exotic primates, virology, molecular biology, and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
