I graduated in biology by Paraná Federal University, Brazil, have a master (2006) and a doctorate (2011) degree in Zoology by the same university. I was a post-doctoral researcher (2011-2013) in biological oceanography in the Oceanographic Institute from São Paulo University and at Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (2019). I am experienced in zoology and planktology, with emphasis on taxonomy and ecology of gelatinous organisms (Cnidaria, Ctenophora, Chaetognatha, Thaliacea), their couplling with water masses and their short- and long-term dynamics. I am also experienced in oceanographic instrumentation and field collection of oceanographic data. I have published papers on taxonomy, diversity and biology of gelatinous organisms from estuarine, shelf and oceanic areas, and about dynamics of water masses and responses of the planktonic community. Since late 2013 I am professor at Paraíba Federal University, teaching the courses of invertebrate zoology, ecology, marine biology and environmental education.
