graduated at Fine Arts with teaching license in Artistic Education with major in Arts from Universidade de São Paulo (1982), graduated at Portuguese and Spanish Language and Literature from Universidade de São Paulo (1984), graduated at Japanese Language and Literature from Universidade de São Paulo (1988), got a MFA degree (Master in Fine Arts - Printmaking) from Washington University (1994) and Ph.D. in Philosophy (Aesthetics) from Universidade de São Paulo (1999). Has experience in Japanese Studies, with focus on literature and arts, has worked on the following subject areas: Japanese painting and prints, Japanese literature, Japanese culture. She is Associate Professor in Japanese Art and Literature since 2011. Currently is Senior Professor attached to the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the School of Communications & Arts.
