Researcher at Embrapa Livestock Southeast (since 1998), with experience in soil fertility and fertilization, working on best management practices, fertilizer technologies, fertilization recommendation, foliar diagnosis, and analysis methods crop-livestock-forest integrated system (CLIFs), use of minerals in agriculture and precision agriculture. Graduated in Agronomy at ESALQ / USP (1992), MSc in Agronomy (Soil Science and Plant Nutrition) at ESALQ / USP (1995), Ph.D. in Agronomy (Soil Science and Plant Nutrition) at ESALQ / USP (1999), visiting researcher (Nitrogen cycling and management) at the USDA - ARS - Pasture System and Watershed Management Research Unit (2013). Working on the development, adaptation, validation, and evaluation of agriculture and precision technologies and automation (such as sensors, equipment, software, and information systems) for acquisition, transmission, storage, processing, and interpretation of data using geostatistics and geoprocessing techniques in agricultural and livestock production systems). Member of Embrapa's Precision Agriculture Research Network, as well as of Embrapa's Automation Portfolio. Acting in the development and agronomic evaluation of fertilizers sources and evaluating soil quality in pastures and CLIFs. Director of Division 3 - Soil Use and Management, of Brazilian Society of Soil Science, and Coordinator of Committee 3.1 on Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition. Coordinator of Integrated Crop-Livestock Systems Network (Cropland Research Group - Global Research Alliance - GRA). Member of task force Soil Monitoring (4 per 1000 initiative) and Low-Carbon Livestock Research Network (LCL-RN).
