Elizabeth Harkot-de-La-Taille graduated in Arts at the University of São Paulo (1986), had her Master (1990) and Ph.D. (1996) in Semiotics and General Linguistics at the University of São Paulo and was a professor at PUC-SP between 1990 and 2006,in a discontinuous manner . Lecturer, University of São Paulo since 2006, researches in the areas of English Language and Linguistics, through the theoretical perspective of Discourse Semiotics, and works on the following subjects: identity, cultural stereotypes, images of self, passions and social interactions.
