Graduated in Arts Education- major in Music at the University of Sao Paulo and a postgraduate degree in Music - Music Education - Master's and PhD - Program for Graduate Music of UFRGS. She worked as a lecturer and researcher at the Federal University of Uberlândia in the Graduate Course in Music from 1993 to 2010. It operates in the same university as collaborative teacher in the Post-graduation of Arts - MA. UFU exercised in the positions of: Coordinator of Specialization courses (1994/1995,2000/2001); coordinator Undergraduate Music (2001/2003), director of the Academic Unit - Faculty of Arts, Philosophy and Social Sciences, University of Uberlândia (2007-2010). She was secretary of the Brazilian Association for Music Education between 2001 and 2003. She was a member of the Music Education Research Group of formal and informal in the Triangulo Mineiro region (Directory of Research Groups, CNPq,1998-2010). It is a member of the Research and Training in Music Education (CNPq) and leader of the Group for Research on Contemporary Learning Music (CNPq). Since August 2010 serves as a lecturer and researcher at the Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mosque Filho" - UNESP, Institute of Arts, Undergraduate Program in Music Education and the Graduate Program in Music. Her lines of research are: Music Education, culture and society, formal and informal music education, music and Youth. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
