Célio C. Vaz is the Founder of Orbital Engineering (2001), since then its Chief Executive Officer CEO. He is graduated in Mechanical Engineering for the University of Brasilia (1981), possesses Master's degree in Applied Systems Analysis for the Brazilian National Space Research Institute - INPE (1989) and Doctor in Sciences in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering, with area of concentration in Aerodynamics, Propulsion and Energy, for the Technological Institute of Aeronautics - ITA (2000). He possesses experience in the area of technology and information data processing, having actuated in the beginning of his career in the Data Processing Center of the University of Brasilia - UnB. Later on, started his actuation in the Aerospace Engineering area and has accumulated more than 15 years of experience in the Space Technology Division (ETE) of the Brazilian National Space Research Institute INPE, working in satellite system and subsystems engineering developments, having participated in expressive satellite development and accomplishments of the Brazilian Space Program. At Orbital Engineering he has continued its professional development and applying his experience for conception, specification, development, integration and tests of technological developments: - Satellites; Sounding Rockets; Liquid Rocket Propulsion, including the first flight experiment of a liquid propellant rocket in Brazil; Suborbital Microgravity Platform (PSM); - and, recently he has been working on the flight test of a Brazilian SCRAM JET Engine under development.
