Graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the University of São Paulo (2000), obtained his master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of São Paulo (2002) and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Stuttgart (2007), Germany. Was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA (2007-2009). Since 2010, is professor and researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineeiring and in the Graduate Program on Mechanical Engineering at FEI University. From 2017 to 2022, was the head of the mechanical engineering department at FEI. Since, August 2022, is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the department of Computational Enginnering of the Heidelberg University, Germany. Has experience in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Engineering, acting on the following subjects: simulation of human movement, development of assistive technology for improving human mobility, multibody system dynamics and applications of optimal control theory.
