Yeda holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo - FFCLRP-USP (1987), a Master's degree in Animal Genetic improvement from the State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" - FCAVJ-UNESP Jaboticabal (1993) and a PhD in Genetics from FMRP-USP Riberião Preto (1998) with the Nelore Program (1998) and Post Doctorate in the area of IVF Embryo Gene Expression by FZEA-USP Pirassununga (2003) with the FAPESP Young Researcher Program. Since her graduation, she has worked in the area of animal reproduction biotechnology, in which has developed several works such as orientation, cooperation and coordination of various research projects funded by many agencies in Brazil (FAPESP, CNPq, FINEP). Has experience in Veterinary Medicine-Embryology, focusing on Biotechnology applied to Animal Reproduction, acting on themes related to maturation, fertilization and in vitro culture, cryopreservation, stem cells and cloning processes. She was responsible for the birth of the first IVF calf in the country in 1994 during his doctorate. In 1998 he founded Vitrogen, a pioneer in the commercial application of the In Vitro Fertilization technique in cattle in Brazil. Currently she is also a scientific advisor at WTA (Watanabe Applied Technology) in the area of research and development of equipment and consumptions used in the in vitro production process of animal and human embryos.
