Graduated with BS in Physics from the Federal University of Bahia (1995), MA in Applied Physics in Medicine and Biology from the University of São Paulo (1997), doctorate in Applied Physics in Medicine and Biology from the University of São Paulo (2001), post doctorate from the Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (2002), visiting researcher at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI, (2004), and along the Mayo Clinic Foundation in Rochester, MN, (2006) in the USA. He is currently full professor from Universidade de São Paulo. He Has experience in Applied Physics in Medicine and Biology, focusing on instrumentation, acting mainly in the development of new products and processes to support the control of human and animal health. Major research areas are: Ultrasound, Elastography, Biological Tissue Simulators, Biomedical Transducers, and Magnetic Susceptometry .He has also been an incentive in training young entrepreneurial scientists. In 2004, he created the Innovation Group in Medical Ultrasound and Instrumentation (GIIMUS), certified by CNPq. Stimulated and guided the creation of 2 startups (FIGLABS and Gphantom) and the company Junior Marie Curie. From 2010 to 2013, he was Technical Director of Supera Parque and prospected for the expansion of SUPERA Technology Center based on demands from the Ribeirão e Região industry. Since 2013 he has been the CEO of SUPERA Parque, which has made it one of the most important entrepreneurial ecosystems in Ribeirão Preto. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
