Graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of São Paulo, master's and doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the São Carlos School of Engineering, University of São Paulo. He worked in consulting for automation companies in the development of digital data communication systems for telemetry and remote control. In 2003, he was a visiting researcher in robotics at the University of Limerick (Republic of Ireland / EU) working with the development of hybrid control architecture for mobile robots. He is currently a Professor at FZEA-USP and develops research and innovation projects with an emphasis on Instrumentation and Control, working mainly on the following topics: automation of agricultural machinery and processes, data science applied to biosystems, embedded systems and robotics. He is coordinator of the Robotics and Automation Group for Biosystems Engineering (RAEB) at FZEA-USP. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
