Dr. Berro is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, Jackson, MS, USA. She also is an Adjunct Professor at Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz, Ilhéus, BA, Brazil, and an Affiliate Scientist at the Sleep Institute, Associação Fundo de Incentivo à Pesquisa (AFIP), São Paulo, SP, Brazil. She has a B.S. Degree in Biomedical Sciences (2011), as well as a Master's Degree (2014) and a Ph.D. Degree (2017) in Psychobiology, Sleep Division from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), having conducted her Ph.D. project at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center, Emory University (2014-2016). She completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, Jackson, MS, USA. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Behavior. Dr. Berro has experience in Sleep Medicine and Biology, Behavioral Neuroscience and Pharmacology.
