The undergraduate degree was in Psychology at the "Universidade de Brasília" (Brazil, 1987), and Master's Degree in Experimental Psychology at the same institution (1989). She developed a doctoral thesis in Experimental Psychology at the "Universidade de São Paulo" (Brazil, 1997), with visiting scholarship at the Shriver Center in Boston (MA/USA). Effective Professor at the "Universidade Federal de São Carlos" (UFSCar, São Paulo, Brazil), works in this institution since 1989. She Develops both teaching and researchs in the perspective of the Behavior Analysis, and is accredited as supervisor by the Graduate Program in Psychology of the university. She is the coordinator of a group research that investigates both phenomena and processes pertinent to the relationship between behavior and health, focusing on relevant aspects to the Analytical-Behavior Therapy. The investigations? themes verses about: Emotional Behavior: anxiety, depression and stress; Behavior and health; Behavior and Quality of Life; Emotional Behavior and chronical health conditions; effectiveness and efficiency in analytical-behavioral therapeutics? interventions; adherence to treatment in chronic health conditions; behavior in health promotion, particularly in either preventing or minimizing losses related to chronical diseases; rule-governed behavior and its implications for following instructions; and, stimulus control under aversives conditions.
