She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Centro Universitário da Fundação de Ensino Octávio Bastos (UNIFEOB) in 2005, followed by an advanced specialization in Small Animal General Surgery at the same institution in 2007. She completed her Masters in Medical Pathophysiology in 2011 and her Ph.D. in Sciences in 2016 at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of UNICAMP. During her graduate studies, she focused on the effects of hyperlipidic dietsparticularly those rich in saturated and polyunsaturated fatson the development of metabolic diseases and their cellular signaling mechanisms, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Lício Augusto Velloso at the Obesity and Comorbidities Research Center (OCRC). From 2017 to 2023, she conducted a postdoctoral fellowship in the Graduate Program in Surgical Sciences at the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP, coordinated by Prof. Dr. Raquel Franco Leal. Her research addressed inflammatory bowel diseases and their underlying inflammatory mechanisms, encompassing clinical and epidemiological models, surgical aspects, and molecular biology techniques. Part of this research was carried out in 2018 at the Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer, Hospital Clínic, University of Barcelona. She served as a temporary professor in the Graduate Program in Surgical Sciences at UNICAMP between 2021 and 2024, during which she also co-supervised a doctoral student. Since 2020, she has been a faculty member in the Veterinary Medicine program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas), where she has held the position of Level 3 Professor-Researcher since 2023. She is also a collaborating researcher at both the School of Nursing and the Faculty of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP. Her research focuses on oncology, aging, and non-communicable chronic diseases, with an emphasis on pathophysiological mechanisms, therapeutic strategies, and their impact on quality of life.
