Gislene Figueiredo Ortiz Porangaba

She holds a degree in Geography from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - FCT/UNESP (2005), a master's degree (2012), and a doctorate (2015) in Geography from the same institution, with a sandwich period at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2014). She completed a postdoctoral degree in Geography from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - FCT/UNESP (2016) and in Physical Geography from the University of São Paulo (2024). She is currently an Adjunct Professor of the undergraduate and graduate courses in Geography at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul - Três Lagoas campus. She coordinated the research project Living in the Tropical City: risk and Socio-environmental Vulnerability and the project Risk and Socio-environmental Vulnerability to Extreme Heat Events in Cities in Mato Grosso do Sul, Member of the Brazilian Association of Geographic Climatology and the International Association for Urban Climate. He has experience in #8203;#8203;Geography, with an emphasis on Physical Geography, working mainly on the following topics: Geographic Climatology, Urban Climate, Geotechnologies, and Socio-environmental Risk and Vulnerability.
