Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Federal University of Paraná (1982), MsC in Zoology, Federal University of Paraná (1987) and PhD in Public Health, University of São Paulo (1998). Postgraduate degree from Yale University, USA. Director of the Parasitology Laboratory of the Butantan Institute, from January 2009 to August 2011 and the Special Laboratory of Zoological Collections of the same Institution, from August 2011 to October 2013. Scientific Researcher, level VI of the Butantan Institute for 25 years old, and has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Parasitology, with emphasis on taxonomy and biology of ticks and other ectoparasitic mites of wild animals, also working in tick cell culture and in tick cDNA libraries. Reviewer of research projects at FAPESP and CNPq. Advisor of postgraduate students at USP - FMVZ, Program in Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses.Currently retired from the Butantan Institute, but acting as a Collaborating Professor, at the Department of Pathology, UNESP Jaboticabal, SP, and as Scientific Assistant Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Parasitology (CBPV) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
