Birthplace: Brazil

Currently (2017-) I am Adjunct Professor of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Campus of Três Lagoas, working with Plant Taxonomy. I have a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2003-2006) from the Federal University of Goiás, where I worked in rupestrian vegetations, focusing on Orchidaceae. I studied my Master's degree in Ecology and Evolution (2007-2009) at the same university, working with floral and reproductive biology of a group of orchids and continued to study the flora of Orchidaceae in rupestrian vegetations. I completed my PhD in Plant Biodiversity and Environment (2011-2015) at the Institute of Botany with an eight-month "sandwich" scholarship at the University of Gothenburg (Sweden), using Next Generation Sequencing and molecular phylogeny as tools to study the biogeographic and evolutionary patterns of the subtribe Zygopetalinae (Orchidaceae). I worked as a professor at the Vale do Acaraú State University (2009-2010), teaching in the biology and pedagogy courses. I also worked as a teacher (EAD) of the Specialization in Applied Technologies for Biology Teaching (2010-2011) course at the Federal University of Goiás. Later, I had a Pos-doc fellowship (Institutional Capacity Building Program of the CNPq; 2015-2017) at the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, conducting studies with several families of Phanerogams (especially Orchidaceae, Iridaceae and Cyperaceae). Among my research lines are: taxonomy of phanerogams, inventory of flora, phylogenetics, systematics of Orchidaceae, phytosociology, floral and reproductive biology; with experience in studies of flora in several Brazilian biomes, especially Amazonia and Cerrado.
