Graduated in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual do Norte do Paraná (2008). Master in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Universidade Estadual de Londrina (2011). PhD in Biology/Genetics from University of São Paulo (2017). Develope a research project at IQ-USP using patients cells who have a syndrome known as Xeroderma Pigmentosum, characterized by mutations in Nucleotide Excision Repair (NER) genes or in DNA polymerase eta that participates in the tolerance pathway (Translesion Synthesis) of DNA damage induced by UV light. The focus of the research is to evaluate the UVA-induced DNA and cell damage and its deleterious effects in these cells related to genotoxicity, oxidative stress and mutagenesis.
