Milena da Fonseca Azevedo is a PhD candidate at University of Sao Paulo, where she has also completed a Master degree. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from FGV Direito SP. Her research interests are International Trade Law, digital trade and environment. She is a researcher of the Center for Global Trade and Investment Studies (CCGI) at Sao Paulo School of Economics (EESP-FGV) and contributor of the Global Law and Development Center (NDGD) at FGV Sao Paulo Law School. Milena also acts as International Trade lawyer. She was mentioned by the specialized publication The Legal 500 in 2021 as very knowledgeable on WTO regulations and international trade policy. She is also part of Women Inside Trade, global network of women professionals, as a co-anchor on a number of episodes of the podcast Witcast, that invites trade experts to talk about trending topics of trade.
