Bachelor?s degree in Agricultural Engeneering from University of Sao Paulo (1985), master?s in Animal Nutrition from University of Sao Paulo (1988) and PhD in Animal Science from Cornell University (1993). He is currently Associate Professor at University of Sao Paulo and head of the University?s Animal Growth and Nutrition Laboratory. He has a level 1 CNPq researcher leader fellowship.
