Associate researcher at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EPUSP), campus of Santos city, under the Young Investigators Awards program of the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), from December 2018. From 2016 to 2018 (2 years and 9 months in total), he was a postdoctoral research associate in the Multiscale, Multiphysics Design Optimization (M2DO) group at the Cardiff School of Engineering in Cardiff, UK. He defended his doctorate in 2015 from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), with the title "Evolutionary Topology Optimization of Fluid-structure Interaction Problems". He was a doctoral student at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), 12 months in 2013/2014 and at RMIT University, in 1 month in 2015. He was a visiting postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) for 3 months in 2016. Works with structural topology optimization (level set and discrete/binary methods) in multiphysics and multiscale problems, with experience in acoustic- and fluid-structure interaction, stress analysis and material design.
