Hearted Biologist and enthusiastic with Chemical Biology: BSc Biology, Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte 2008. Masters (2010), PhD (2012) and post-doc (2014) in Molecular Biology, Federal University of São Paulo engaged with a wide range of disciplines ranging from mathematics coupled with spectroscopy to protein cloning and expression attempting to understand the relationship between structure and function of relevant biological macromolecules, specially complex carbohydrates. I'm currently a Honorary Research Fellow, Institute of Integrative Biology, University of Liverpool and since april 2014, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology Division at the Federal University of São Paulo. Besides teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, recently I've been engaged in developing new ways of looking at fine cellular structures using super-resolution and CARS (Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering) microscopy by selective labeling and detection of particular cellular components.
