Has experience in Archaeology, with emphasis on Mediterranean Archaeology, working mainly in the following subjects: Roman archaeology and proto-history of the Italic Peninsula, Roman archeology of the Iberian Peninsula and North Africa, ceramic technology, archaeometry, bronze and iron metallurgy, Grec-Roman lamps. Coordinator of the Research Group (CNPq) "Forms of contact and transformation processes in the Ancient Mediterranean: Rome and its provinces" 2006-2011. Coordinator of the Laboratory of Roman Archeology Provincial-LARP MAE-USP (support FAPESP). Editor in charge of the Journal of the Museum of Archeology and Ethnology from 1991 to 2013.
