PhD and Master of Science, both degrees obtained in the Social History Program of the University of São Paulo-USP, in 2023 and 2015, respectively. Graduated in History from the State University of Montes Claros (2006). Develops research and studies focusing on the evolution of African-American Civil Rights, with emphasis on the first two decades of the 20th century. He seeks to discuss the influences that personalities, such as the intellectual and activist W. E. B. Du Bois (1868-1963), institutions, such as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People - NAACP (1909-), and media outlets, with emphasis on the magazine The Crisis (1910-), had on the questioning and overthrow of racial segregation in the United States of America. He is also interested in the ways in which the various social segments of the North American population articulated themselves to face discrimination in various areas of society in a period of striking contradictions known as the Progressive Era (1890-1920). He is a member of the Study Group on the History of the United States: regional, national and global (18th to 21st centuries). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
