Joana Amaral de Carvalho

Joana Amaral de Carvalho holds a degree in Materials Engineering with emphasis on Metallic Materials from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). Previously, she was sponsored by FAPESP in a scholarship for scientific initiation in the Laboratory of Hydrogen in Metals of the Department of Materials Engineering (DEMa) of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). In addition, she was sponsored by CAPES in a scholarship of the Science without Borders program at the Montana Tech of The University of Montana and Auburn University. She worked as an intern at the ALCOA (Aluminum Company of America) Laboratory and in the company Magnesita Refractories S.A . She was a guest researcher at Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht at Germany. She has experience in Materials Engineering with emphasis on metallic materials.
