Paulo Henrique Galvão has a BS in Geology at the Federal University of Pará (2007), master's degree in Hydrogeology at the Geosciences Graduate Program of the Federal University of Pernambuco (2011), and PhD in Karst Hydrogeology at the Mineral Resources and Hydrogeology Graduate Program of the University of São Paulo (2015). Part of his Ph.D. research was conducted at the Boone Pickens School of Geology, Oklahoma State University, USA (2014) during 1-year period as visiting researcher. He was a Professor of Hydrogeology between 2016 and 2019 in the Department of Geology of the Federal University of Ouro Preto. Currently, he is a Professor of Hydrogeology at the Institute of Geosciences at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He is a member of the Brazilian Groundwater Association (ABAS), of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH), and associated editor of the Brazilian Groundwater Journal (ABAS). He is one of the coordinators of the LEHID of the CPMTC, of the IGC (UFMG). He has experience in the following areas: hydrogeology in porous media and karst regions, diagnosis and remediation of contaminated areas, stable isotopes (O18 and D), hydrogeochemistry, drilling wells, and groundwater resources management.
