Viviane Melo de Mendonça Magro

Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Department of Human Sciences and Education, Sorocaba campus. Ph.D. in Education from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Post-doctorate at the Università di Roma La Sapienza, Master in Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University (PUCCAMP) of Campinas, and Graduate in Psychology from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE). Visiting Professor at the Dipartamento di Storia, Disegno e Restoration Dell'Arquitetura at the Università di Roma La Sapienza-IT in 2018 and 2019. Conducts research in Gender, Feminist Studies, and Sexualities, working on the following themes: social memory, heteronormativity, compulsory heterosexuality, Education, body and affection, and their relationships with technology, science, art, and culture. She participates in the "Nucleus for Studies and Research on Technology, Culture, and Society" and coordinates the Nucleus for Studies on Gender, Diferences and Sexualities(NEGDS). Professor and Post-Graduation Supervisor at Master e Ph.D. Program in Education (PPGEd-So/UFSCar). Coordinator, Professor, and Post-Graduation Supervisor at Master's Program in Studies of the Human Condition (PPGECH-So/UFSCar). Currently, she researches gender discourses in graffiti and artistic and cultural manifestations from the urban and historical scene of cities. In addition, she develops studies on feminist politics of breathing, critical (post) humanism, and countercoloniality. Representative of UFSCar on the Gender Academic Committee of the Asociación de Universities Grupo Montevideo (AUGM).
