Architect and urban planner, holds an undergraduate degree from the School of Architecture and Urbanism at University of São Paulo FAUUSP (1994), Master's in Urban Environmental Structures (2002) and a Doctorate in Habitat/Architecture and Urbanism (2008), from FAUUSP. Completed postdoctoral studies at the Department of Urban Planning at the Luskin Institute - University of California Los Angeles, UCLA (2017-2018). Professor at FAUUSP since 2010. Researcher at the Observatório das Metrópoles/Metropolis Observatory (since 2004), where coordinates the research Right to the City and Housing. Coordinates and participates in projects of University Community Outreach since 2006. Director of the Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa em Planejamento Urbano e Regional- ANPUR [National Association of Postgraduate and Research in Urban and Regional Planning] 2015-2017 and 2019-2021. Among other publications, edited the books Habitação, Autogestão e Cidade [Housing, Self-management and City] ] (2021); THE SELF-BUILD EXPERIENCE. Institutionalisation, Place-Making and City Building (2020); and ALÉM DOS MUROS DA UNIVERSIDADE: Planejamento Urbano e Regional e Extensa o Universita ria [BEYOND THE UNIVERSITY WALLS: urban and regional planning and community outreach] (2019).
