Priscila Alessio holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP (2005) and completed her master's degree in Materials Science and Technology at UNESP in 2008. In 2012, she obtained her doctorate in co-tutelage with the Universidad de Valladolid (UVa), earning the titles of Doctor in Materials Science and Technology from UNESP and Doctora en Ciéncias Físicas from UVa. She conducted postdoctoral research from 2012 to 2017 at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Presidente Prudente (UNESP). Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of Presidente Prudente (UNESP).She leads the NanoAmbio research group (Laboratory of Nanostructured Materials for Environmental and Biological Analysis) and has coordinated research projects funded by FAPESP and CNPq. She is also involved in science outreach. Her expertise lies in the field of Materials Science, with a focus on nanostructured materials and their applications, including the fabrication of ultra-thin nanostructured films, biomimetic membrane models, characterization through vibrational and electronic spectroscopy, as well as surface-enhanced Raman scattering and sensor applications.
