Graduated in Physics (Bachelor's Degree) from the University of São Paulo (1975), graduated Degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1977) and a Ph.D in Physics-Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (1981). She is a researcher at the Corrosion and Protection Laboratory of IPT (since 1976), was Director of Innovation and responsible for the Planning and Business Coordination of IPT (2012-2018); she was CEO of IPT (2018-2019) and Director of Innovation and Business at IPT (2012-2017 and 2019-2020) and dean of teaching at the Technological Education Center (2018-2020). She was the general coordinator of the two Embrapii IPT units (Embrapii IPT - High Performance Materials, (2012-2020) and Embrapii IPT Bio-Development and Scheduling of Biotechnological Processes, from (2016-2020). She was the general coordinator of the New Talent Program and IPT's training projects (2012-2020). She is a guest professor and advisor for a doctorate and master's degree at the University of São Paulo, Polytechnic School, Department of Metallurgy and Materials (since 1985) and professor and advisor of IPT's technological master's degree in the Industrial Processes Course and (since 2013 ) the Housing: Planning and Technology course (since 2010). She was President of the Brazilian Corrosion Association (2021-2023). She is a representative of Brazil in the International Corrosion Council and the second vice-president of the International Corrosion Council (since 2021). She acts as vice-chairman of the STG 35 committee; she is a member of the Association for Standardization (ABNT since 2013) and and ad-hoc consultant to CNPq, FINEP, FAPESP, FAPESB and CYTED. She has experience in the chemistry area, with an emphasis on electrochemistry, working mainly on the following topics: corrosion and corrosion protection, electrodeposition and surface treatment, including anti-corrosive paints. She coordinates research and technological development projects, provides advice on corrosion and protection, especially in the optimization of production processes of surface treatment, and provides technological services for the productive sector. Has a strong role in standardization at ABNT and is the coordinator of CB 43 Brazilian Corrosion Committee. She was the President of the Executive Committee of ICC INTERCORR WCO 2021 ( and is the vice-president of the Executive Committee of LatinCorrInterCorr 2023 ( (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
