Christiano J. S. de Matos received his BSc and MSc degrees in Physics from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in 1997 and 1999, respectively, and his PhD from Imperial College London in 2004. He has worked in the areas of Optics and Photonics, with emphasis in the following subjects: nanophotonics, 2D materials, optical fibres, microstructured fibres, photonic crystal fibres, and nonlinear optics.
