Cecilia Chirenti has a Bachelor degree in Physics (2003) and a PhD in Physics (2007) from the Physics Institute of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics - Albert Einstein Institute in Potsdam, Germany, from 2007 to 2009. Professor at Federal University of ABC in Santo André, Brazil, since February 2009. Professional experience in Physics, focusing on the Physics of Elementary Particles and Fields, acting on the following subjects: general relativity, compact objects, gravitational waves, quasinormal modes and perturbations.
