Arthur Guerra de Andrade, M.D., Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry at School of Medicine of the University of Sao Paulo (FMUSP) and Full Professor of Medical Psychology and Psychiatry in ABC Medical School, Brazil. Dr. Andrade received his Ph.D. from University of Sao Paulo (1991) in Psychiatry with focus on Assessment of treatment models for alcohol use disorders, and his M.D. from ABC Medical School (1978). He finished a residency in Psychiatry and had postdoctoral training at School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, Fullbright Commission (1991-1992). Habilitation from FMUSP (1996). Founder and Supervisor of the Interdisciplinary Group of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs (GREA) in the Institute of Psychiatry, FMUSP; Executive President of the non-governmental organization Center for Information on Health and Alcohol (CISA) and President of International Council on Alcohol and Addictions (ICAA).
