Graduated in History from the University of São Paulo, PhD in Anthropology / Archeology from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, and postdoctoral from the USP Bioscience Institute. He is currently conducting research in the regions of central Brazil and the Amazon in the areas of human evolution, human ecology, archeology, prehistory, hunter-gatherers, zooarcheology and paleoecology. Has experience in Environmental Sciences, focusing on assessment, mitigation and compensation of impacts on archaeological, historical and paleontological heritage. In the field of Preventive Archeology, he is responsible for several projects throughout the national territory, involving all phases of environmental licensing of enterprises potentially harmful to national archaeological heritage.
