Vitamin-enriched manioc

Published in August 28, 2013 - Pesquisa FAPESP. Selective breeding of different varieties of plants has allowed a team of scientists from the Agronomy Institute of Campinas (IAC), to introduce a yellow colored, higher quality cassava. According to Teresa Losada Valle, responsible for its development, this new variety has up to 40 times more vitamin A than the typical one.
